October: Azure and November: Little Cat Feet

October: Azure and November: Little Cat Feet were constructed for the Contemporary Fiber Artists of Louisiana show, Elemental Layers: Earth, Air, Water, Fire which was exhibited at the Louisiana State Arboretum in June.  Each piece is comprised of several sheer layers.











 October: Azure  materials: organza, chiffon, netting, handpainted cotton fabric,
fused fiber leaves, plastic produce bags, wood.






  November: Little Cat Feet materials: chiffon, organza, netting, cotton fabric, wood

pretty awful

Feathers were a major frustration!  I need a couple hundred more hours to get good at these.  Difficult to control speed & stitch length, and I had trouble making anything close to the right shape.  Maybe I should go for leaflets or fronds instead.
